The National Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Makati City started as a small chapel in 1915 in San Antonio Village, growing into a full parish by 1952 under the Archdiocese of Manila. It was named a national shrine in 1992, reflecting its deep devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with its current church built in the 1970s.
Located along Sacred Heart Street near the Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge, the church features a modern design with a standout circular window above the altar. The feast day is held every June, which is connected with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart.
