The Archdiocesan Shrine of Sta. Teresa de Avila in Talisay City, Cebu, is a Roman Catholic church that was constructed in 1836 to 1848. It was originally part of San Nicolas Parish before becoming an independent parish on August 16, 1836. The church was declared an archdiocesan shrine on October 15, 2007 by Cardinal Ricardo Vidal, in honor of St. Teresa of Avila.
The church is known for its Graeco-Roman architecture made of coral stones, and features two bell towers with red domes, a facade with Doric columns, and historical symbols like the Hapsburg eagle. Its feast day on October 15 draws pilgrims for a fluvial procession and grand celebrations, and it’s a key stop for Visita Iglesia.
